Unisus Manx Cattery was registered with Cat Fanciers' Association Inc.(CFA) in September 1985 and then with The International Cat Association(TICA) in November 1985. The cattery originated in Hayward Calif. and then moved to Fort Worth TX. in 1992 due to employment requirements. During the early years the main objective of the cattery was the betterment of the Manx breed. Therefore, we looked for cats with old established lines like "Tynwald" and "Mendocino" to new and innovative lines like "TellnoTails" and "Riagan". After breeding for the roundness look and pleasant temperament as described in the standards, we started breeding for the rare and unusual color and patterns such as blue tabby and brown patched tabby. Over the years, the cattery has produced several regional and international winners. Several of the cats have appeared on TV within the United States and in books throughout the world as representations of the breed. Today the cats enjoy a life of retirement and fun.
